Members of the Poulsbo Yacht Club benefit from slips available in our marina. Our modern, well-maintained marina facilities are located directly in from of our clubhouse and just three blocks from downtown Poulsbo. The marina is comprised of 152 slips ranging from 30′ up to 70′ in length. Twenty of the slips are equipped with soft canvas covers. No boat houses are permitted. All slips are provided with water and power. Telephone and cable TV hookups are available. Two fixed and one portable waste water stations make pump-outs easy. Dockage is provided for our Junior Sailing fleet and accommodate many members dinghies. Our facilities are kept in good repair and docks are cleaned twice weekly. We have recently installed a new potable water system and a foam fire-suppression system. A marina-wide electrical system upgrade is ongoing.
Our marina is incorporated as a Washington condominium association. This association is named the Poulsbo Yacht Club Marina Management Association. We refer to this association as MMA. About 80% of the slips in the marina are owned by PYC members. Poulsbo Yacht Club retains ownership of the balance and rents these to members. Slip owners including PYC are members of MMA. MMA members elect six directors who along with the PYC Commodore act as the MMA Board of Directors. The MMA Board manages all aspects of the marina including books of account separate from PYC. This separation permits the PYC Executive Board to focus on other club matters.
Slips regularly become available for sale or rent. As members move away, change to larger or smaller boats, or retire from boating they place their slips on our listings of ‘Slips for Sale/Rent’ under the above ‘General Interest’ menu.
