“There is nothing as much fun as simply messing about in boats” exclaims Rat in Kenneth Graham’s classic Wind in the Willows. The members of PYC have been adherents of that philosophy since the club was incorporated in 1956. Fun is a fundamental part of PYC. It is an attitude we’ve come to expect right after we swear to adhere to our mission statement to “promote safe and courteous boating on Puget Sound”.
Are you the socially motivated? There are many opportunities to be involved at PYC. A virtual smorgasbord of cruises, parties, events and social gatherings are there for the taking.
We are a volunteer club – the members plan, execute and participate in all activities. To our eyes, PYC sits as a “shining jewel set in a shimmering bay.” Our club rests on the beautiful shores of Liberty Bay, surrounded by trees, mountains and water. Those of us fortunate enough to live here consider it paradise on earth.
So, if you feel like simply “messing about in boats” or just want to be part of a motley crew of wonderful folks, check us out – call ahead and get a tour of our facilities or check our calendar and join us for a steak fry or a TGIF. Betcha can’t attend just one…
